Carolyle Smith married Walter Gilbert Moore Morton 30 December 1886 at Hopeville, Clark County, Iowa. They lived in Hopeville/Doyal, Clarke County, Iowa, and Diana, Sanborn, South Dakota. They had five children. In 1910 she was living in Hartley, O Brien, Iowa, working as a keeper of a boarding house. She married Charles William Culver, a widower, 12 October 1920 in Canton, Lincoln County, South Dakota. At the time of her marriage, she was living in Lewistown, Fergus, Montana. Carolyle and Charles moved to Seattle, King, Washington, where they lived until Charles Culver's death in 1931. Sometime between 1935 and 1940, Carolyle moved to Pasadena, California, where she lived with her daughter until her death.

Carolyle's first husband Walter Morton was born 24 Aug 1862 in Ohio and died 13 Jul 1935 in Brownsville, Cameron, Texas.
