Munsey News: We were sorry to hear of the death of James Vanderpool who was drowned in Kansas. He is the son of Rev. Ed Vanderpool of this neighborhood. The remains will be shipped to Munsey for burial. We extend our heartfelt sympathy. Young Man Drowned: James Vanderpool, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Vanderpool of near Seligman, was drowned Thursday of last week, while crossing a stream in Kansas. The body was shipped to the parents and buried at the Munsey Cemetery. The family lived for a number of years about four miles south of Cassville. James was an industrious young man and spoken highly of by those who knew him. His untimely death is a sad one and a great shock to his parents and many relatives in this county. - June 24, 1915, Thursday, Cassville Republican - (His father, Edward Vanderpool's, first name was John) John "Edward" Vanderpool was a son of John Milton and Matilda (Hale) Vanderpool. Myrtle married Clarence Eacret in 1912 and on the 1920 census, her daughter, Florie, is listed as Thelma.
