He was born on November 5, 1941, at Bismarck, the son of Ed Loy and Grace Taylor Loy. On October 20, 1961, he was married to Jerilynne Shields. He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, Leon Loy; and three sisters, Alta Waite, Blanche Waite and Anna Faye Cason.
He was a member of the First Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Amity, worked at Reynolds Aluminum for eighteen years and was Breeder Manager for Foster Farms of California. He was an avid fox hunter, who loved the outdoors and working his family farm.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Jerilynne Loy of Royal; two sons, Monroe Loy of Royal and Brent Loy of Bonnerdale; one daughter, Carrie Lynne Loy of Pearcy; five grandchildren, Taylor, Keaton, Dalton, Shaylin and Kendall; one brother and sister-in-law, Melvin and Betty Loy of Yakima, Washington; two sisters and one brother-in-law, Louise and James Prince of Mitchell, Indiana and Georgia Brown of Arkadelphia; numerous nieces and nephews; and a host of friends.
Services will be held at 3:00 PM, Saturday, August 20, 2011, in the First Apostolic Pentecostal Church of Amity with Bro. Bill Hughes officiating.
Visitation will be held Friday evening, 5:00 PM until 7:00 PM, at the funeral home.
Interment will be in the Hickory Grove Cemetery under the direction of Davis-Smith Funeral Home, Hot Springs.
Pallbearers will be Taylor Loy, Keaton Loy, Dalton Loy, Brian Dugan, David Martin and Derek Dupre.
Honorary pallbearers will be Arkansas Hospice, 5th Floor West, St. Joseph's Mercy Health Center, Dr. Martin Koehn, Dr. Danny Haynes and all his Fox Hunting-Hound Friends.
