Trannie Luther Bailey, 77, died March 23, 1973 at the NMMC in Tupelo. Services were March 24 at Smithville Funeral Home with burial in the Turon Cemetery. He married Lula Walls, who died in 1930 and he married Phelia Masingale in 1932, who survives. He was a retired farmer and a member of the Turon Methodist Church.
Survivors included his wife; four daughters, Mrs. Elvin Bennett of Houston, Mrs. Clarence Cook of Zion, Ill., Mrs. Leabern Pierce of Amory, Mrs. Fred Roberts of Zion, Ill.; seven grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.
