Wife of William McMullen. His obituary refers to her as "Eliza Snyder"; needs clarification if Gibbons was her true maiden name and Snyder perhaps a first/previous married name.

------
Note: The DOD of 1921 was engraved on the headstone inscription. She died December 25, 1920, not 1921.

------
Note: Eliza's obituary lists several of her surviving children. One is "Browne"; that appears to be a typo in the obituary, or else it in a nickname for one of the other children. All seven known children are now accounted for with proper memorials and linked to William and Eliza McMullen. The Fairfield Daily Journal in the early 1900's often had name and dates wrong, so how "Browne" came to be included was either a submission error to the Journal or and error on the Journal's part. In any event, this "Browne" does not exist as a literal person so far as is known. Family researchers should take that into account.

Eliza (Gibbons) McMullen... Find A Grave Memorial# 75016982
In reference to her info on the Find-a-Grave website, I do know for sure that she was married 1st to Jackson Stewart on Feb 3rd, 1860 in Greene County, Pa, and then she married 2nd, William McMullen on Oct 11th, 1865 in Greene County, Pa... I do not know what happened to, or if Jackson Stewart died, etc... My Mother was related to Eliza Gibbons by blood and my Father was related to Jackson Stewart by blood and I have researched these families... The Snyder / Snider Families was married into these Families and other connected Families who also lived in the same area, and the obit of Wm McMullen must be in error in saying she was Eliza *Snyder, as are a lot of obit's in errors like that...
