Widow Of Lima Physician Dies Tuesday Night

Mrs. Ruea Maus Adams, 61, of 725 W. Elm-st, widely-known Lima woman and widow of Dr. Archie Adams, died in St. Rita's hospital Tuesday evening of complications of diseases following a five months illness.

A native of Lafayette, she had resided in Lima a number of years and was a member of Trinity Methodist Episcopal church, of the Eastern Star lodge, of the White Shrine, of the Shakespeare club and of the Literary Guild.

Mrs. Adams, who was one of Lima's leading musicians and music teachers, received a diploma in music from Ohio Northern university and also studied at the Chicago Music college.

Mrs. Adams was the granddaughter of Michael Leatherman, the first probate judge of Allen-co.

She is survived by two sons, Dr. A. M. Adams, 725 W. Elm-st; H. P. Adams, 1008 E. Second-st; a daughter, Miss Gertrude Adams, 725 W. Elm-st; a grandchild, Harry A. Adams; and three brothers, Frank Maus, Newark, N.J.; Page Maus and Don Maus, both of Lima.

Dr. F. Earl Roe, pastor of Trinity M. E. church, will conduct funeral services at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Davis-Miller and Son Cathedral chapel. Burial will be in Woodlawn cemetery. The body will remain at the N. West-st funeral home.

Services For Mrs. Adams To Be Thursday

Funeral services for Mrs. Ruea Maus Adams, 61, of 725 W. Elm-st, widow of Dr. Archie Adams, who died Tuesday in St. Rita's hospital, were to be held at 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the Davis-Miller and Son Cathedral chapel. Rev. F. Earl Roe, pastor of Trinity M. E. church, was to officiate and interment was to be in Woodlawn cemetery.

Mrs. Adams, widely-known Lima woman and a member of many organizations of the city, died following a five months' illness.

Active pallbearers were to be Dr. J. M. McBride, Dr. James Halfhill, Dr. J. R. Johnson, Dr. Edgar Curtiss, Dr. F. G. Maurer and Dr. Ed Pedlow. Ladies of the Eastern Star lodge were to be honorary pallbearers.
