Son of Capt. Jacob Clader and Maria Margaret Kolb, Valentine Clader married Sarah Bortz, (b. 10 Jul 1801 - d. 7 Jul 1849), who is buried in the old Allentown West End Cemetery. Valentine and Sarah had eight children: Ephraim; Tilghman J.; Catherine; Moses F.; William H.; Sarah; Mary; and Samuel.
