Charles Carstens
DeWITT, Iowa - Services for Charles H. Carstens, 80, of DeWitt, formerly of Moline, will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Schultz Funeral Home, DeWitt. Burial will be in Greenview Memorial Gardens, East Moline.
Visitation will be 3-8 p.m. today.
Mr. Carstens died Saturday at Meadow Lawn Nursing Center, Davenport.
He was a railroad car helper until 1976 with the Rock Island Railroad.
He married Myrtle Engstrum, who died in 1976.
Survivors include a stepdaughter, Carol (Mrs. Don) Allen, Moline; a grandson; sisters, Florence Hillock, Davenport; Esther Berner, Clinton; and Wilma Schmidt, Marion; brothers, Henry Carstens, Fulton, Ill.; and William Carstens, Davenport; and a special friend, Gertrude Wells, Davenport.
Mr. Carstens also was preceded in death by a stepson and a stepdaughter.
