From the Postville Herald, January 13, 1943:

Mrs. Warner Harris Passed Away Today;
Funeral To Be Friday

Mrs. Warner M. Harris, 63, passed away suddenly this morning at 2:30 o'clock at her farm home northeast of Postville. She had been in apparently good health and was in town yesterday afternoon with her husband tending to the family shopping. Funeral services will be conducted Friday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the Community Presbyterian church and interment will be in Minert cemetery, Post township.

Mrs. Harris was born September 4, 1879, as Rachel Folsom, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Folsom, pioneer resident of this community, at Frankville, in Winneshiek county, but spent the greater part of her lifetime in this county, part of the time in Postville and since 1927 on the farm where the family now lives. As small children she came with her parents to the Lybrand locality of Post township where she attended school.

On February 23, 1898, she was married to Warner M. Harris, who together with their three sons, Lloyd of Cedar Rapids, Ray of Louisville, Ky., and Roger on the home farm, survive.

She is also survived by six grandchildren and the following seven brothers and one sister: Lee, Richard, Gilbert and Milo Folsom of this community, William Folsom of Dubuque, Melbert Folsom of Sauk Rapids, Minn., Dr. Austin Folsom of Waukon, and Mrs. Earl Hammel of Frankville.
