The bodies of Mr. and Mrs. Elden Jacobson, well known local couple, were recovered from the wreckage of their light plane which crashed 15 miles southeast of Blackfoot a week earlier.

Mr. and Mrs. Jacobson left here March 4 to take part in an Idaho Department of Aeronautics-sponsored tour of Mexico. It is believed that they were both killed instantly.

46-year-old Jacobson was an electrical contractor. Mrs. Margaret Jacobson had been active in Idaho Falls civic affairs having served as president of both the Idaho Falls Music Club and the Idaho Falls League of Women Voters.

Mr. Jacobson was born in Bloomington, Idaho and Mrs. Jacobson was born at Ft. Huron, Mich.

The couple came to Idaho Falls in 1937, after having lived in Rigby for about six years. They were married at Pontiac, Mich.

They are survived by two sons, and relatives of Mr. Jacobson include his parents, Mr. and Mrs. A. Moroni Jacobson (Mary Thompson), and the following brothers and sisters: Ambert Jacobson, Beaumont, Tex.; Lee Jacobson, Las Vegas, Nev.; Ray Jacobson and Jerry Jacobson and Mrs. Wayne (Delia) Adams, all of Idaho Falls; Mrs. Bill (Erma) Thomson, Teton, and Mrs. Vern (Venna) Clay, Rigby. One grandchild also survives.

The parents of Mrs. Jacobson are deceased. Besides her sons, she is survived by a brother, Eugene Clay, Detroit, Mich.; and two sisters, Iren Stedman, Dearborn, Mich, and Betty Mack, Defiance, Ohio.
