William Oliver Aldridge was born at Oso, Washington on 20 April 1889..William's parents are William Aldridge and Marie Elizabeth Robinson, both from Indiana. His known siblings are Elenora Ella, Clara Ann, Sarah Emeline, Mary Etta, Samuel Harley, Gertrude and Oscar Clarence Aldridge (sometimes Aldrich).

He married Elsie Thomas, on July 21, 1917 , at Seattle, Washington. Their known children are Helen M, Elsie L and Betty J Aldridge.

He was inducted into the United States Army on 14 Jul 1917 at Fort Lawton, Washington. He served during World War I, and was Honorably discharged on 24 December 1918 as a Private First Class.

On 25 January 1954, at the age of fifty four, William passed away at Port Orchard, Washington.
