THE DEATH OF ADA CARNES
Stockwell, Dec 15 - Mrs. Ada Carnes, 64, local resident for 16 years, and formerly of West Lafayette, died this morning at the family home. She was first married to Thomas Lugar, who died in 1912, and Feb. 28, 1913, she married Bert Carnes. Mrs. Carnes was a member of the West Lafayette Baptist church, and Stockwell Home Economics club. Surviving with the husband are the following children; James Lugar, Frankfort; Mrs. Marie Durham, W. Lafayette; Mrs. L. L. Conway, Dallas, Texas, and Mrs. Marion Feaster, Lafayette, all by her first marriage, and Edward Carnes, USN, stationed in Alaska. Two sisters, Mrs. Dora Lacount, Millersburg, and Mrs. Ida Ashby, Detroit, Mich., also survive, along with two brothers, Otis and Earl Sense, West Lafayette. Body at Dickerson funeral home.
