ELSIE N. TWITCHELL
MANILA, Utah—Funeral services for Elsie Nelson Twitchell were conducted Monday, Feb. 24, in the Manila LDS Ward Chapel. Bishop Glen Tinker officiated.
Mrs. Twitchell, 90, of Manila, died Feb. 19 in the Phillips Nursing Home in Provo, Utah after a long illness.
She was born Aug. 30, 1895 in Beaver, Utah, a daughter of Daniel Morgan and Matilda Warby Nelson.
She married William Wallace Twitchell on Dec. 16, 1914 in Green River. He died March 12, 1959.
At an early age, she moved with her family from Beaver to Manila, where she lived most of her life. She also lived in White Rock, Utah.
She was a member of the LDS Church and served in many of its organizations.
She is survived by three sons and four daughters, James Twitchell of Granger, Utah, Max Twitchell of Cheyenne, Tony Twitchell of Renton, Wash., Mildred LaPLant of Vale, Ore., Nona Adams of Mount Vernon, Ohio, Enid Schurock of Ogden, Utah and Carol Ranson of Othello, Wash.; more than 45 grandchildren and many great- and great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Matilda Bascom of Payson, Utah and Mary Briggs of Ogden.
She was preceded in death by three sons, a daughter, five brothers and a sister.
