Howard E. Terhune, 80, R.R.1, Milroy, Ind., died at 1:25 a.m. Wednesday, June 19, 1991 in the Rush County Memorial Hospital, Rushville, Ind.

He was born Oct. 11, 1910 in Milroy, Ind., the son of Henry and Roxa Moford Terhune. He was a lifelong resident of Milroy, and a lifelong resident of Milroy, and a member of the Milroy United Methodist Church, the Rushville Masonic Lodge, and the Rushville Elks Lodge. He was owner of a hardware store and an LP Gas dealer, and for 30 years was at the Terhune Gas Company, from 1945 to 1975. He was a past president of the Indiana LP Gas Association, and a 40-year member of the Milroy Volunteer Fire Department. For 30 years he served on the board of directors of the Indiana Pony and Trotting Association.

On March 24, 1935, he married Lee Ida Randell, and she survives; with a daughter, Mrs. Rick (Sue Anna) Disbro, Milroy, Ind., a brother, John Terhune, Milroy, Ind.; a sister, Alice Ruth Wiley, Milroy, Ind.; two grandsons and one granddaughter and one great-grandchild.

One son, Phillip Terhune, one brother, Luke Terhune and one grandchild preceded him in death.

The services will be 10 a.m. Friday, at the Todd Funeral Home, Rushville, Ind. with the Rev. Jay A. Morrison officiating.

Burial will be in the East Hill Cemetery, Rushville, Ind.

Visitation will be at the funeral home from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

There will be an Elks memorial service at 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
