CLAXTON - Iona Anderson DeLoach, age 92, widow of Dave DeLoach, Sr., passed away August 13, 2011, at Evans Memorial Hospital. The Tattnall County native resided in Evans County at the time of her death. She was a long time member of the Claxton Primitive Baptist Church. For many years she was Activities Director, in personal care, at Evans Memorial Hospital. Her family was her pride and joy and she was a loving and caring friend. Mrs. DeLoach was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amy Coley. Survivors: one daughter, Glenda (Carey) Coley of Claxton; one son, David (June) DeLoach of Bellville; one granddaughter, Angie (Wilson) Boatright of Claxton; one grandson, Grant DeLoach of Statesboro; one great-granddaughter, Meredith Boatright and one great-grandson, Neal DeLoach; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation: Sunday, August 14, 5-8:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home. Funeral Monday, August 15, 2:00 p.m., at J. Mellie NeSmith Funeral Home Chapel. Burial: Canoochee Church Cemetery.
