Malissa Ellen Rowden was the youngest daughter of Abraham S. and Rachel Ellen (Hudnall) Rowden. She married Jasper W. Posey on 19 January 1890 in Woodruff County, Arkansas. They had one daughter, Myrtle Magdalene Posey. She then married Clayton Angelo Eldred on 3 April 1901 in Red Cloud, Webster County, Nebraska. They had three children: Audris Mae, Earl Hudnell Joseph and Wardie Claude Angelo.
Note: According to the the 1900 census, Malissa was born during August 1872 in Indiana. On the 1880 census, she was an 8-year-old which would make her birth year 1871. The grave marker has 1861 - 1935.
