Ellen held a Master's Degree from the University of Arkansas and worked as a social worker for most of her career, most recently at Butterfield Trail Village in Fayetteville.
Ellen was the last surviving member of the Coffey family who were early parishioners of St Joseph Catholic Church in Fayetteville. The first Mass was said on her great-grandfather's farm and later, her grandfather donated the land on Lafayette for the church to locate in 1878.
Ellen is survived by many close friends including the Marinoni family.
Father Ravi Gudipalli will officiate at the Funeral Mass to be held Monday, August 15, at 12:00 noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 1722 N. Starr Rd., in Fayetteville. The Mass will be preceded by the Rosary at 11:15 and followed by a reception at the church.
Interment will follow the reception at Evergreen Cemetery in Fayetteville under the direction of Moore's Chapel Funeral Home.
