Graveside funeral services for Mrs. Minnie Alsbury, 85, who died at the Yakima Convalescent Home after a two-month illness, were held at Zillah Cemetery Monday afternoon (May 21, 1956). Pallbearers were Henry Gilliland, Julius Chenaur, William Muns, Matt Rowland, Norvin Green and Reed White.
Mrs. Alsbury was born in Gilman City, Mo., and lived in Zillah and Prosser for several years before moving to Yakima 20 years ago.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. H. S. Gilliland, of Seahurst; a daughter-in-law, Mrs. Robert Jackson of Yakima; nine grandchildren; and 32 great grandchildren.

Minnie was the fifth of five children born to James & Permelia Ann Lofty Mullen. She married William Henry Alsbury on Dec. 24, 1887 in Bethany, Missouri. To this union were born four children: Pearl Ann, Lee Thomas, Bonnie "May" & Roy Samuel.
