Mary Virginia Abbott, of Raytown, MO, passed from this life peacefully on August 11, 2011. Mrs. Abbott was raised in Kansas City, the devoted daughter of Frederick and Ola Judeman. She attended Paseo High School and went on to business school. She enjoyed her youth, swimming, diving, playing tennis, and running about town in her fur coat. She eventually settled down to a happy marriage with James Abbott. After his death, Mrs. Abbott returned to the workforce as an administrator for The Laborer's Union. She saw both sons through college and into marriage. She adored her grandchildren and great- grandchildren. Her sons, Frederick and wife Vicki Abbott, and Mark and wife Jody Abbott, her grandchildren, Andrea Abbott Sanchez, Erin Abbott LaBounty and Gavin Abbott, and her great-grandchildren Jacqueline, Isabel, and Mia, survive her. Her 91 years were filled, as she wanted them to be, with family and friends. Visitation will be held from 12:00-1:00 p.m., followed by funeral service at 1:00 p.m., Monday, August 15, at Mt. Moriah & Freeman Funeral Home, 10507 Holmes Rd. Interment in Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
