Bonnie loved to make people happy. She enjoyed entertaining her friends. Her favorite motto was, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".
She is survived by her son, Glenn Dowell Powell and wife Colleen of Lovington, New Mexico; daughter, Linda Bell Powell-Niles and husband Dennis of San Antonio, Texas; grandchildren, Ocie Lynn Powell and wife Patti of Lovington, New Mexico, Camellia Felter of San Antonio, Texas and Gregory Don Powell of Hobbs, New Mexico; numerous great-great grandchildren and step grandchildren and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.
Bonnie is preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Ada Hall; husband, Cotton Powell; sisters, Alene Newberry and Elizabeth Larmon.
Family hour will be from 6-7:00 P.M on Monday, August 15, 2011. Services will be held at 10:00 A.M. Tuesday, August 16, 2011, at the Calvary Baptist Church, Durant, Oklahoma with Rev. David Sanders officiating. Interment will follow at Highland Cemetery, Durant, Oklahoma.
