Stilson - Ray Sanders, 76, died Monday at the Bulloch Memorial Hospital after a long illness.
He was a native of Bulloch County and had lived in Stilson most of his life. He was a retired farmer.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Iler J. Sanders of Stilson; two daughters, Mrs. Margaret Butler and Mrs. Ida Mae Butler, both of Pembroke; three sons, Thomas Sanders of Statesboro, and Lavern Sanders and James C. Sanders, both of Brooklet; two sisters, Mrs. Toby Blanton of Savannah, and Mrs. Susie Carden of Macon; 24 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be held today at 4 p.m. at Lane's Primitive Baptist Church, with burial in the church cemetery.
Smith-Tillman Mortuary of Statesboro is in charge.
