They then bought a farm north of Modale, Iowa and resided there until retirement. They then moved to Blair, NE. They celebrated their golden wedding anniversary March 17, 1974 at Methodist Church in Modale, Iowa. They were married March 22, 1924 at Stockham, Nebraska. They attended the Methodist Church in Modale, Iowa and then the Methodist Church in Blair, NE. Joshua was an officer of the Farm Bureau Insurance in Logan, Iowa for many years besides being a farmer. He enjoyed photographer in his retirement years.
