Rosa Merchant Padget, 89, widow of Joe M. Padget, died Sunday at a Saluda nursing home.
Funeral services will be 3 p.m. Monday at the Ramey Funeral Home. Burial will be in Travis Park Cemetery.
Mrs. Padget was born in Saluda County, a daughter of the late James Suddath Merchant and Julia Lindler Merchant.
Surviving are one daughter, Mrs. Eloise Lynn of Columbia; three sons, J. B. Padget of Atlanta, William M. Padget of Saluda and Henry Julia Padget of Charleston; two sisters, Mrs. Alvin Hazel and Mrs. Clarence Hazel, both of Newberry; and one brother, Shep Merchant of Jacksonville, Florida.

A daughter of the late James Suddath and Julia Lindler Merchant, she was the widow of Joe M. Padget.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Eloise P. Lynn, Columbia, South Carolina; three sons, J. Bud Padgett, Atlanta, William Merchant Padget, Saluda, and Henry Julian Padget, Charleston Heights; two sisters, Mrs. Alvin Hazel and Mrs. Clarence Hazel, both of Newberry, South Carolina; one brother, Shep Merchant, Jacksonville, Florida.
