Madeline Bacon Bazemore, 89, of Darien, GA passed away Sunday, October 5, 2014 at the Hospice of the Golden Isles.
Mrs. Bazemore was a native of Toombs County, residing most of her life in McIntosh County. She was born the 3rd of May 1925 to the late Hobert Kelly Bacon and the late Sallie Vaughn Bacon.
She was a graduate of Toombs County School System, and a homemaker. She was also a member of First Baptist Church of Darien. Mrs. Bazemore had a private kindergarten in her home, and later in life she became a nurse's aide for the elderly. She leaves behind many fond memories that will be cherished by all.
In addition to Mrs. Bazemore's parents she was preceded in death by her husband Leroy Bazemore, a son Larry Bazemore, one sister, and three brothers.
Survivors include her son Jimmy Bazemore and wife Barbara of Palm Coast, FL; daughter –in-law Shelia Bazemore of Conyers, GA; three grandchildren Chris Bazemore of Madison, GA , Greg Bazemore of St. Augustine, FL, and Justin Bazemore of Conyers, GA; three great- grandchildren Nate and Christopher Bazemore both of Madison, GA, and Jourdaun Bazemore of Palm Coast, FL;a niece Lou McNatt Pitts and husband Jimmy of Brunswick, GA , and their daughters Annsley and Lauren, and many other family members.
A funeral service will be held in the chapel of Edo Miller and Sons Funeral Home, 3321 Glynn Ave., Brunswick, GA, with family receiving friends one hour prior to service 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. Wednesday, October 8, 2014 service beginning at 11 a.m. with Reverend Chris Foster residing.
Interment will be private.
Serving pallbearers will be Bob Bacon, Raynor Nelson, Chris Bazemore, Nate Bazemore, Christopher Bazemore, Greg Bazemore, and Justin Bazemore.
