WEST POINT - Miss Mary Anna Bieber, 61, died at 5:30 AM Saturday, Oct. 19, 1969, in St. Elizabeth Hospital, where she had been a patient since Oct. 9, after being in ill-health for some time. Born in rural Lafayette, she had spent most of her life in the area.
Miss Bieber was graduated from Buck Creek High School, and received her bachelor's and master's degrees from Indiana University. She had been a high school teacher of Latin and English at Buck Creek, Chalmers, Jackson Township and Delphi, retiring several years ago. She was a member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, and Phi Beta Kappa honor society.
Surviving are a sister, Mrs. Lewis McKay of Rt. 2; and a brother, Fred M. Bieber of Rt. 3, Lafayette.
