Roy Edward Borg, 76 of Lindstrom died Sept 16, 1987 at the Chisago Lake Convalescent and Nursing Care Unit. He ws born to Claus and Emma Borg of the Almelund area on August 30, 1911. He was an active member of the Chisago Lake Lutheran Church in Center City until he transfered his membership to United Methodist Church in Lindstrom. He farmed until 1966 where he and his wife moved to Lindstrom. He worked for Capital Gear Co in st Paul for 10 years. He is survived by his wife, Alice, sons Norman Borg of Center City, John Akerson and wife Ardy of Cambridge, daughter Nancy Holmgren and husband Glen of Glendale, AZ. 7 grandchildren and three sisters Helen Borg, Evelyn Hjelmberg and Kathryn Hall all of Lindstrom. Services were held Saturday, September 19 at the First
United Methodist Church in Lindstrom with the Rev Jeffrey Utecht officiating. Burial was at Chisago Lake Cemetary at Center City.
