According to the notice of death added to her memorial she died at Fort Bridger, Utah Territory, established around 1842 as a fur trading outpost it became a military post in 1858 in what is now Uinta County, Wyoming. No reason is given for her being there or whom she was with. In 1870 she is living at home in Nine Mile Prairie.
