Howard D. Claypoole, 45, of Perry Township, Karns City R.D. 2, died yesterday [Thursday, May 9, 1963] at Butler County Memorial Hospital following an extended illness. Born in Butler County, May 7, 1918, he was the son of Leslie and Amanda Bauldauff Claypoole. He attended Queenstown Methodist Church. Mr. Claypoole was an employee of the Corry Mining Company. Surviving are his wife, Virginia Duffy Claypoole; a daughter, Pearle Claypoole at home; a grandchild; two sisters, Mrs. Harold (Florence) McCollough of Chicora and Mrs. Harols (Mary) Little of Mars; five brothers, Everett Double of Chicora R.D. 1, Arthur Double of Chicora R.D. 2, William Claypoole of Petrolia R.D. 2, Herbert Claypoole of Hilliards R.D. 1, and James Claypoole of Parker R.D. 2.
CLAYPOOLE-Friends of Howard D. Claypoole of Perry Township, Karns City R.D. 2, who died Thursday, May 9, 1963, will be received at the Vensel Funeral Home, Chicora, from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday and from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday from the funeral home, where the Rev. John H. Clark, pastor of the First Methodist Church, Chicora, officiating. Burial will be in Hillview Cemetery, Chicora R.D. 1. Arrangements by Vensel.
