D. N. Claudon Dies of Burns
Well-Known Local Resident Succumbs After Long Fight

A gallant battle waged against the ravages of severe burns suffered May 22 ended in death at Abington, Pa., Memorial hospital Tuesday at 4 p.m. for David N. Claudon, 80, well known local resident.
The aged man was visiting the home of a daughter, Mrs. Albert Morehead, in Glenside, Pa., when he sustained the burns that proved fatal.
The victim was taken to the hospital, and two weeks ago appeared to be on the road to recovery. He suffered a relapse, however, from which he failed to survive.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2:30 p.m. at the Methodist church, with the Rev. H. J. Kieser officiating. Burial will be in Graceland cemetery. Friends may call at the Bartholomew funeral home from 7 p.m. Friday until time of services Saturday afternoon.
