Mrs. Hulda Wood, who departed this life April 15, 1898, was born January 4, 1848. She was one of seven children of Randolph and Mary Banks. Two of these, sisters are yet living. She was married Nov. 14, 1870, to Z.T. Wood, and was the mother of nine children, six of whom remain to mourn her death. She early united with the Christian church and in 1885 joined the Baptists. She endured many afflictions and long sickness, but was patient and uncomplaining to the end. No one questioned her piety and her faith was triumphant in death.
Funeral services were conducted in the Baptist church Sunday April 17, at 2:30 p.m. by the pastor assisted by Rev. W.W. Hall, in the presence of many sympathizing friends. God bless the bereaved ones in this their great sorrow. Her pastor, I.N. Kimbrough

daughter of Randolph M. and Polly A. (Sutton?) Banks

A suggestion from member 48113546 that Mary (220245123) be removed as Huldah's mother. I have no information to support or deny this suggestion. More information at memorial 220245123 .
