This is part of Norm's eulogy, and was written by Norman's wife, 6 children, and 4 daughter-in-laws.

Norman Ray David, was born in Thayer, Indiana, August 27, 1927, to Tom and Dorothy David. Norm spent most of his childhood in and around Thayer. Later, Norm spent much of his adult life in Lowell, Indiana.
In 1959 he became an ironworker out of Local #395. In later years in Lowell, he served as Town Board President, and was an active Volunteer Fireman and Justice of the Peace. He was also a 32nd Degree Mason and an active member of the American Legion for 23 years.
Early in 1970, Norm moved to Portage, Indiana. Shortly thereafter, through personal friends who arranged a blind date, he met Susie. After a short courtship, they were married August 6, 1970, in the town of The Pines. Norm, a father of three children, and Susie, a mother of three children, were joined and a new family began. Through his unconditional love, Dad had the ability to treat us as individuals and became our best friends.
We, as Norman's wife and children, have suffered his loss, but he will live in our hearts forever.

Norm and Susie's favorite pass time was to fish, they spent countless hours together fishing.
