Joseph Franklin Howe, 60, Idaho Falls, former wrestler and a construction worker, died of a heart attack early Tuesday morning. He was pronounced dead on arrival at an Idaho Falls hospital.
He was born May 10, 1911 at Chillicothe, Mo., the son of Oscar Andrew Howe and Mary MacNallie Howe. He wrestled ten years professionally and traveled to many foreign countries. He also worked on construction job through the International Operators and Engineers Union. He was an interior decorator and mechanic. He was a member of the Jehovah's Witnesses church.
Mr. Howe married Mildred Louise Montgomery on 17 Feb 1940 in Arizona.
He is survived by his widow; two sons and two daughters: Mrs. Dale (Joyce) Puglsey, Kirkland, WA; Paul L. Howe, Providence, RI; Terry Howe, and Mrs. Benjamin (Sharon) Harvey, both of Idaho Falls; two grandchildren, one brother and two sisters: Russell Howe, Reno, NV; Mrs Mary Eldon, Chillicothe, MO; Mrs. Fay Belle Barton, San Diego, Calif. He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers.
