Reverend Simon Wilmer, son of Simon and Ann (Ringgold) Wilmer, married twice, first May 20, 1806 to Rebecca Frisby, b. Jan. 12, 1785, d. July 22, 1827, and had children: John Ringgold Wilmer, m. Lydia Longstreth; Rt. Rev. Joseph Peregrine Bell Wilmer, m. Helen Skipwith; Mary Ann Wilmer and William L. Wilmer. Rev. Simon Wilmer married secondly July 23, 1837 to Mrs. Eleanor (McDaniel) Tubman, widow of George Magruder Tubman and had children: Mary Rebecca Frisby Wilmer, m. James Burd Peale and Elizabeth Wilmer, m. William Augustus Muhlenburg Fuller.
