Born July 10,1919. in Bradford, he was the son of the late H. Calvin and Elizabeth E Wilson Abbott. He attended local schools, graduating from Bradford High in 1938.
Mr. Abbott served in the U.S. Marines during World War II from 1942-1946. He was employed by Bradford Township for about 20 years and also by the Kendall Refining Company.
He was a member of the First United Presbyterian Church.
Along with his wife, he is survived by a son, Calvin Lee Abbott of Clifford; three daughters, Mrs. Jeanne Louise Stebbeds of Clearwater Lake, Wisc., Mrs. Judith Kay Miles of Bradford and Mrs. Deborah Lynne ferry of Niagara Falls, N. Y. ; six grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. Marian Johnson of Tonawanda, N. Y., a brother, Richard R. Abbott of Attica, N.Y.; and several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call after 3 p.m. today at the Koch-Chatley Memorial Chapel Inc., where funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Friday. The Rev. Robert Angus will officiate and burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery.
