My mom was born in Greenville, South Carolina. At 15 she married my dad,and at sixteen had me(Dee)(1959). Afterwards, we moved to South Dakota, living on my grandparents farm(dad's parents). Here in South Dakota, my brother Ed was born(1964). It wasn't long after that, we moved to California; San Francisco I believe; than to the Napa Valley. Here my sister Faye was born in 1965. Eventually we moved to Washington State. My parents would divorce in 1974. My mom would later remarry to Robert. Early in her life, it wasn't easy for her. Somehow she endured and went on to find happiness with Robert. She leaves behind, her devoted husband, 2 daughters and a son; as well as three grandchildren. She also leaves her loving sister, Gracie and two brothers-Dewey and Cecil. She had a brother and sister who have passed before her. William and Violet She had been battling lung cancer; but it was a tumor in her lungs that burst that took her life. We will miss her tremendously and in each of us is a hole that can't be filled. There will be no services at her request. We love you mom!

Poem written for my mom.

Our Angel (Mom)

I awoke this morning; hoping it was just a bad dream.

I didn't want to believe that you were really gone.

The only comfort I can find, is that you hurt no more.

I find some peace knowing you are watching over all of us.

When the wind rustles the leaves on the trees; I will know it is you

When the sun is shining; I will know you are smiling down on us.

When the warmth of the sun touches our faces; we will know it is your love touching our hearts

We will find comfort in all of this; as you will find comfort in the love you took with you from us.

You may be gone from this life; but never gone from our hearts.

We will remember the softness of your voice; your beautiful smile
your sweet laughter

Rest now; knowing that we will keep you with us forever

We love you mom so very much.
