Agatha C Test, 88, Punuxsutawney, died Wednesday, February 11, 2009, at Christ the King Manor, DuBois.
She was born April 7, 1920, in Punxsutawney, a daughter of the late Alex and Elizabeth (Trunzo) Freceone.
October 22, 1938, Mrs. Test married Sylvester Test, who preceded her in death, April 7, 1984.
She was a member of the Ss. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church, the Lindsey Fire Company Auxiliary and the Rosary Altar Society.
Mrs Test initiated the funeral luncheon program at Ss. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church.
She also helped with the blood mobile.
Mrs Test was the Punxsutawney Woman of the Year for 1992.
She was an employee at Loree Footwear.
Surviving relatives include two daughters, Victoria Slater and husband George of Punxsutawney and Diane Reddman and husband Scott of Pittsburgh; three sons, Anthony J. Test and wife Betty of Punxsutawney, Alex Test and wife Donna of Dearborn, Mich., and James Test of California; 17 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Lucille Toumey of Sequin, Washington, and Mary Norris of San Diego, California.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Thomas Test; and two sisters, Gloria Vitsky and Daletta Friconi.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm today at the Deeley Funeral Home, Punxsutawney.
A funeral service will be held at 1 pm Saturday, February 14, 2009, at St Anthony Roman Catholic Church, Walston, with Monsignor Joseph Riccardo officiating.
Interment will be in Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Ss. Cosmas & Damian Roman Catholic Church or School.
