April 10, 1825, John Robertson purchased 60 acres of land in Lawrence Co., TN from John Bourns. John paid five hundred dollars for this farm. The deed was attested to by a good friend of John Robertson--a John Wasson. John Robertson named his baby son after him, and also appointed John Wasson as executor of his estate.

John Robertson Jr. lived in Augusta Co. Virginia, Bourbon & Harrison Counties, Kentucky, and Giles Co. Tennessee. He last settled in Lawrence Co. Tennessee and died there. His son, John P.Robertson, sold his Father's land & all of his brothers and sisters signed the deed. Lawrence Co. Tenn. Entry Book C # 178 dated 27 January 1846.
