Henry Smith Funeral Wednesday
Funeral services for Henry Smith, 69, 1535 Karluk St., will held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Evergreen Memorial Chapel. He died Saturday at Anchorage Community Hospital.
Jerry Ronco of the Jehovah Witnesses will officiate at the service. Burial wiil be in Anchorage Memorial Park. Visiting hours are scheduled from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
A resident of Alaska 43 years, Smith lived 36 years in Anchorage. He had been employed many years by the City of anchorage. He retired as a security guard with the District Engineers.
Born in Harlan County, Ky., Sept 3, 1901 he is survived by his wife Anna; three daughters, Mrs. Carl Rains of Anchorage, Mrs. Fred Burford of Anchorage and Mrs. Andrew Grosvold of Seattle, Wash.; two sons, William Thompkins of Seward and John Thompkins of Haines; two sisters, Mrs. Myrtle Prim of Ryderwood, Wash., and Mrs Martha Martin of Toledo, Ohio (s/b Wash.) and a John F. Smith of Ryderwood.
