"Alice Georgia Hartley, 86, formerly of Manhattan and Topeka, died Saturday in Simpsonville, S.C. She was born Feb. 22, 1913 in Dadeville, Mo. She moved from Manhattan to Topeka in 1953. She had lived in Norfolk, Neb., Pittsburg, Kan., Dallas, Texas, and Seattle, Wash. before she moved to Simpsonville. Mrs. Hartley was the director of seed laboratories for Kansas for 28 years. She was a member of the First Southern Baptist Church and the Audubon Society.

Survivors include two sons, Daniel E. Hartley, Seattle, and Dr. Robert Hartley, Simpsonville; and two sisters, Flora Feltz, Liberal, Mo., and Edith Newland, Medford, Okla. Mrs. Hartley was preceded in death by a daughter, Linda Carole Rider.

Graveside services will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Park Cemetery. Memorials can be made to the Bob Jones University, 1700 Wade Hampton Boulevard, Greenville, S.C. 29614."
