Nona Louise Capps, the daughter of Robert David Cole
and Malissia Elizabeth (Morgan) Cole was born March 31, 1936 in Hartshorn, Missouri. Nona passed awqy at her home in Dora, Missouri surrounded by her loved ones, Tuesday evening, August 9, 2011 making her age 75 years.
Nona was married to Ray Schweighauser and they were blessed with 5 children. Michael Ray, Linda Louise,
Elaine, Don Alvi, and Teresea Lynn.
She later married Larry Capps, March 5, 1988 making
their union 23 years together. To their union they were blessed with Larry's children, Chris, Glen, and Leslea.
Larry and Nona lived in Iowa and then moved December
1996 to Missouri to be near Nona's children and family.
She enjoyed spending time grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Nona was a child at heart and showed it through her sense of humor and quick wit. She loved her children, they were drawn to her as they were to her. She had a love for interior decorating and home cooking, wich was done with love and to make everyone feel special.
She enjoyed being outside working in her flower garden, bird watching or just a lazy day of fishing. Her love for God and music were combined when she sang in the church
choir and played tambourine. She and Larry attended the Sweetin Pond Church in Dora.
Nona is preceded in death by her father Dave Cole, her mother Malissia cole, Sister Nellie Dewitt, brother Henry Cole, sister Sylvia Dewitt, sister Pearlie Gorman, and brother Jessie (Sonny) Cole.
She is survived by husband Larry Capps of the home in Dora, Michael Schweighauser and wife Beverly of West Plains, Missouri, daughter Linda Bradley and husband Larry of Summersville, Missouri, daughter Elaine Svoda and husband Ed of Arnold, Missouri, Don Schweighauser and wife Debbie of Raymondville, Missouri, and Teresea Zumwalt and husband Michael of Holden, Missouri, Chris Ritter and husband Bob of Davenport, Iowa, Glen Capps and wife Diane of Davenport, Iowa, Leslea Howell, of Davenport, Iowa, Sisters Della Yingling of Licking, Missouri, Betty Hartman of Sprinfield, Ohio, Fay Cooley and husband Ralph of Summesville, Missouri, Leona Ramirez and husband Ruben of Wichita, Kansas, and brother Charles Cole and wife Gwen of Ozark, Missouri. Nona was blessed with 25 grand children and 24 great grandchildren and 2 more great grandchildren on the way.
Our hearts are saddened and broken to lose Nona, but we are happy that she now abides in her new home where she knows no suffering or pain.
