He was born August 22, 1909 in Mason Co., WV to John H. and Flora I. (Robinson) Kanniard.
A Delaware resident since 1927, he retired after 31 years with U.S. Airco and was know for being one of the best welders in the state. He was a member of East Side Mission Church who loved his family dearly and taught them to always be honest. He enjoyed listening to good church music and was quite a guitarist.
He is survived by a daughter, 9 grandchildren, 30 great-grandchildren; and 5 great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife Lula, a daughter Helen Lowe, brothers Marion, Staca, Lester, Garland, and Lee, sisters Lilly Baird, Abby Hayes, Maddie Dunn, and Opal Mathews, 4 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson.
The family will receive friends on Thursday, January 22 from 4:00 – 7:00 PM at Rodman Neeper Funeral Home, 1510 W. William St., Delaware, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11:00.
