Frances Yancey Price, 93 a native of Marietta passed away March 18, 2011. Services were held at Noonday Baptist Church with Rev. Larry Sandidge and Rev. David Mahaffey officiating. Burial followed at Kennesaw Memorial Park Cemetery in Marietta.

Mrs. Price was born in 1917 to John Clifford and Mamie Yancey and was one of five children. Her career began at Bell Aircraft. Later she was employed at Lockheed-Georgia where she retired after 29 years. During this time Frances and her late husband Hoyt C. Price raised two daughters and were active members of Noonday Baptist Church and the Blackwell Community. After retirement they traveled and became active in the developing Senior Citizens Centers. Both were instrumental in building the Northeast Cobb Senior Center and received awards for their work.

Survivors include her daughters and their husbands Marilyn and Ron Harris; Virginia and Richard Martz; grandchildren Pamela Douglas Davis, Shelly and Scott Lehmann, Richard and Shawn Martz; eight great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Frances was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years Hoyt C. Price and grandson Philip Harris.
