In 1643, his name appears on the list of men from Sandwich, between the ages of sixteen and sixty, who were able to bear arms in the New Plymouth Colony of Massachusetts (now Barnstable County, Massachusetts). This means he had to be born prior to Aug 1627.

Jane ? (some say Annable, but not proven). When Anthony Besse died his
wife married George Barlow. Mary was born to the first marriage. There
are court records showing that George was her step father.
