He married Agnes J. Beatty and fathered Carrie Etta (b. 02/28/65) and Anna (b. @1868). Agnes's status is unknown, but sometime after 1880 he married Catherine Waltimeyer, née Cornes, widow of Cornelius Waltimeyer (56th Pennsylvania Infantry).
October 23, 1838, is also reported as his date of birth, and the actual date is uncertain. No obituary was found in any online newspaper archive.
