DEATH OF George F. Heath The Idaho Register Friday, April 17, 1903, Idaho Falls, Idaho Page 5 On Friday morning last another of the old timers of this valley and city passed away. George F. Heath, one of the oldest residents of this city died about 9:30 a. m. He had been in a serious condition for some two weeks, and on Thursday it was found that it was impossible for him to live unless and operation was performed, and it was very doubtful if that would be successful. But as a last hope it was decided to make the attempt, which was done Thursday evening by Drs. LaRue and Jones.

The funeral was held from the Mormon church on Sunday afternoon and was largely attended, a great number following the remains to the cemetery.

When he returned to this part of the country and kept the stage station for several years at what was known as Sand Holes. In 1882 he built what is now the old portion of the Brooks House. He was one of the promoters and organizers of the Eagle Rock and Willow Creek Water Co. He would have been 67 years of age in August next.
