9-14-1844 - First Annual Session of the Indian Creek District Primitive Baptist Church Association convened with Camp Creek Church** at Flat Top, Mercer Co., (W)VA. Council Walker, Chrispi Anos Walker, and Charles Walker were named as messengers of Camp Creek Church to this Association (The Camp Creek Church is so named because of its proximity to the headwaters of Camp Creek.).

9-20-1845 - Second Annual Session of the Indian Creek District Primitive Baptist Church Association convened with Indian Creek Church in Monroe County, (W)VA. Chrispi Anos Walker, Charles Walker, Christian Peters, and Jonathan Lilly were among the messengers from Camp Creek Church at Flat Top, Mercer Co., (W)VA.

9-6-1856 - Thirteenth Annual Session of the Indian Creek District Primitive Baptist Church convened with Rich Creek Church in Mercer Co., (W)VA. At this Meeting, Council Walker and Charles Walker (1st cousins) were appointed to GO ON A MISSION to attend church in Tazewell Co., VA, to assist in the constituting of an organization in that County.

Per his obituary, he joined the Camp Creek Primitive Baptist Church** at Flat Top, Mercer County, (W)VA, about the year 1843; In 1857 an arm of the Camp Creek Church organized and constitued the Rich Creek Church at Lashmeet, Mercer Co., (W)VA. Brother Council Walker, being in this organization was appointed clerk, a position he filled for 31 years.
