THE DEATH OF LEVI STORMS
Levi Storms, one of the oldest citizens of Tippecanoe county, passed away last evening at 7:30 o’clock at the home of his son, Joseph Storms, in Stockwell. He had been ill for some time and his death was caused by the infirmities of age. He was born in Butler county Ohio in 1825 and came to Tippecanoe county when he was two years old. The only surviving member of the family is his son Joseph, at whose home he died. Mr. Storms was a member of the United Brethren church, having united with that denomination sixty five years ago. The greater part of his life was spent in farming. He was an uncle of Daniel E. Storms, ex-secretary of State, and was well and favorably known. He was a man of good character and was a useful citizen. The funeral will be conducted from the residence tomorrow morning at 10 o’clock and from the Salem church at 11 o’clock. Rev. George Trinkle will officiate and will be assisted by Rev. J. H. Kevan. The interment will be made in the Salem cemetery.
