LESLIE LEVI PADGETT

Leslie Levi Padgett, son of Carrie and Andrew Padgett, was born May 31, 1891 in Sanka, Coke County, Texas. He departed this life in his home on May 1, 1951, at the age of 59 years, 11 months, and one day.

At the age of seven, he moved to Ellis county, Oklahoma, with his parents where he spent several years. He then moved to Lipscomb county, Texas, where he grew to manhood.

On February 27, 1918 he was united in marriage to Miss Daisy Dyke. To this union four children were born: Tempest, Wana, Harland and Marlene.

On September 4, 1918, he was inducted into the United States Army, returning home on January 1, 1919.

At the age of 14 years, Les, as he was affectionately called by loved ones and friends, was baptized into the Baptist church.

He was preceded in death by his father and one sister. In passing, he leaves to mourn his wife, Daisy, of the home; three daughters, Tempest Beall of Camargo, Okla., Wana Kygar of Vici, Okla., and Marlene Coulson of Vici, Okla.; one sone, Harland Padgett of leFors, Texas; his mother, Carrie Derrick, of Camargo, Oklahoma; three sisters, Lena Roach of Camargo, Okla., Bertha Buxton of Perryton, Texas, and Eula Bowman of Vici, Okla. Also, five grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
