Mary was the daughter of Brig. Gen. William Ross Hartshorn and Alice (Breese) Hartshorn. She was a graduate of Tuscarora Academy, Academia, Pa.
She was survived by her two daughters, Mrs. Ed P. (Alice) Dutton of Clearfield and Mrs. Walter (Annie) Sohn of Harrisburg; and two sisters, Mrs. John S. Whittaker and Mrs. Walter K. Hernish, both of Harrisburg.
