Trevia Sater was born Nov. 8, 1907 in Woodburn, Iowa; the daughter of Henry W. and Irma A. (Cook) Sater. She moved to Wyoming in the spring of 1914 with her family, and they homesteaded in the Bear Creek community in Converse County. She was reared and educated in the rural schools and the Douglas schools. She worked for the Safeway Stores for over 20 years, retiring in the early 1970's. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, and prior to her failing health, she had been an active member of TOPS, the Rebekah Lodge and the reading program at Michael Manor.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Griffin, and granddaughter, Lyndsay Griffin, both of Casper, Wyoming. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Viola Anthony; and two brothers, Ardith Sater and infant Willard Eugene Sater.
